5 LAW EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

Communication is a process of delivering information (messages, ideas, ideas) from one party to another. In general, communication is done orally or verbally that can be understood by both parties. if there is no verbal language that can be understood by both, communication can still be done by using the body gesture, showing certain attitudes, such as smiling, shaking his head, shrugging. This way is called nonverbal communication. To communicate effectively there are 5 laws as follows :

R ESPECT
    E MPATHY 
    A UDIBLE
     C LARITY
        H UMBLE

1. Respect

Human nature is a need to be respected (William James, psychologist). In order to be respected others must first respect others.

2. Empathy

Empathy is the ability to position oneself in situations or conditions facing others;
  • Understand the character of others
  • Understand the issues conveyed (heard)
  • Convey a convincing argument
  • Convey politely (no patronizing)
  • Take the heart of leadership / subordinates

3. Audible


Oral Communication ; Messages are delivered in an acceptable manner;
  •   Bright countenance
  •   Good body language
  •   Polite words
  •   Right intonation
  •   Can use clear media
Communication Writing ;
  •   Complete data
  •   Images or symbols are clear
  •   Exposed with graphs

4. Clarity

Clear : does not result in multiple interpretations (ambiguity)
Transparency : open, nothing is covered up

5. Humble 

  • Serving attitude
  •  Appreciate
  •  Want to receive feedback / criticism
  •  Not arrogant
  •  Do not look down on others
  •  Admit mistake
  •  Forgive
  •  Gentle and self-control
  •  Prioritize common interests
